Summary: Turkish Wrestling Association of Berlin.
Although wrestling is a martial art that does not involve striking one another, it nonetheless forces opponents to engage in close physical contact with each other. Originally founded exclusively for Turkish wrestling enthusiasts in 1981, the club has long adapted to the multicultural setting of Kreuzberg and now includes Turks, Germans, Russians, Chechnyans, Bulgarians, Romanians, Azerbaijanis and Armenians among its members. Here, people from various nationalities enter into a dialogue through sports, competing in a discipline whose rules provide a basis for social interaction.
