Summary: Imprint is a book of photographs by artist Nathan Larimer with a foreword by writer Lee Burbage. The 30 color photographs were made over a two-year period of travel across the U.S. especially in the southeast and southwest. They depict marks individuals have made on their environment for communicative and ritualistic purposes. These marks, ranging from ancient petroglyphs to contemporary graffiti, are intended to act as surrogates for the individuals who made them, revealing a connection between people and nature throughout time.
