Summary: Visions 1-26 deals with themes of emotional and physical isolation, movement, cycles and repetition in human life. The structure of the book is wave-like, alternating between day and night, landscape and sub-terrain in order to reproduce a sense of disorientation. The images themselves are populated not only by the living, but also by representations of life in drawings, symbols and sculpture, bringing into question our understanding of reality through the world around us.
