Summary: Seven Verses of Emptiness, by photographer Mirjana Vrbaski uses elements of both classical and modern printing styles to catalogue seven photographic portraits. Much like Vrbaski’s portraiture, Seven Verses of Emptiness is an attempt to translate silence and emptiness into a visual medium. Constructed out of sparse and elegant unbound spreads, the publication grants each portrait its own quiet space and independence. Seven Verses of Emptiness is a part of Mirjana Vrbaski’s graduation project at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague, Netherlands.
Date and place of birth of photographer/s: 10 February 1978, Montreal
